Joyce Faye Wishon

Joyce Faye Wishon, 79, of Kinston passed away July 18, 2024 at ECU Healthcare, Greenville, NC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude A. Westbrook and Thelma L. Westbrook and sisters, Joan Orth and Janet C. Westbrook.

Joyce was a member of Salvation Army of Kinston.  She was the sweetest woman that you’ll ever know.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. 

She is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Wishon; daughters, Kim Stroud and Linda Connor; son, Clifton E. Connor  All of Kinston; grandchildren, Shannon Stroud, Melissa Stroud, Greg Stroud, Jr. Brittany Boykin, Robin Connor, Jeanne Cuddington, Catherine Connor, Charlotte Connor, Samantha Gaston, Robert V. Held, Jr, Taylor Szymanski, and Hunter Held; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Bunn, Nancy J. Westbrook and brothers, Claude Westbrook III and Joey Westbrook.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 31, 2024, at the Salvation Army, 2110 N Queen Street Kinston, NC 28501.
