Juan Jorge Vilchis Murillo
December 12, 1972 - October 24, 2024
My dad was a beloved husband, dad, papa, and friend. He was born on December 12, 1972, in Mexico City and made his way to America at the age of 13. Throughout his lifetime, he firmly dedicated his life to his family and work. Whether he was working long hours at his job, helping friends, or tackling any and every home improvement he could, he always made it a point to complete it. He never left a job uncompleted.
As a dad, he was the prime example of love and support. He was always there for his children with a comforting hug or a goofy joke. He taught us the importance of hard work, loyalty, determination, and always finding the right opportunity to crack a joke in tough situations. My dad was a very special man, one of a kind. He made sure if any of us needed anything, he provided it for us no matter what. He always made sure we had everything and anything we wanted. He was very proud of everything and everyone no matter the circumstances.
He always found the joy in little things, living his life like a goofball. Even during his adulthood, he remained a child at heart. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit could brighten any room, especially with the grandkids. He turned every moment into extraordinary ones, singing silly songs and redneck engineering everything he could. His ability to see the humor in everyday life was a gift to everyone who knew him. My dad’s legacy of hard work, love, and goofiness will live on in all of us till the end of time.
He leaves behind his other half, Teresa Moore Vilchis; his three children, Jimmy Dail Britt Jr, Juan Henry Vilchis, Cristina Brooke Vilchis and partner, Juan A Hernandez, grandchildren, Liam Storm Britt, Layne Phoenix Britt, Juan Henry Vilchis Jr, Angel Mendoza-Vilchis, Raquel Antonia Hernandez Vilchis, and Juan Augustus Hernandez Vilchis; mother; Virginia Murillo-Herrera; father; Juan Jorge Vilchis; siblings, Jackson Aman Turner, Maria Guadalupe Benitez and husband, Albino Benitez, and Carmen Nicole Castañeda and husband, Modesto Castañeda; sister-in-law; Wendy Moore Jones; nieces and nephews, Nickolas D.
