Katherine E. (Eaton) Michalowicz

Katherine “Kitti” E. Michalowicz, 76, passed away on Friday, March 17th, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Kitti was an active member in many heritage societies, including DAR, DCH, ADEAW and many others. She served on most boards of the organizations she was a member of and was able to trace her heritage back to Jamestown and Charlemagne. Kitti obtained her BA and MA in History from SUNY Albany, she was a marketing director at Global Trans Park in Kinston in recent years. Kitti was always an active and dedicated member of any organization she joined. She enjoyed spending her free time writing, reading, doing genealogical research, and traveling with her husband to numerous countries.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Ronald Michalowicz; sisters; Violet Kraft and Charlotte St. Pierre, sister-in-law Christine Laclave, brother-in-law, Randy Kraft, seven nieces and nephews, two great-nephews and numerous family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Howard-Carter Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, March 20th, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at 2:00pm at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church with Father Tom officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Maryland.
