Katie Bell (Knowles) Pike

Katie Bell Pike, 87, of Kinston, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Harmony Hall, Kinston. Katie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  She was a member of Briary Run Church. She loved the holidays, never met a stranger and was loved by all and will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Knowles and Louisana Sandlin Knowles; husband Lester “Earl” Pike; daughters Robin Sutton and Susan Potter; son Joseph Pike; four sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Westview Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Turner and Kathy West; son Andrew Pike; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and brother George “Buddy” Knowles.
