Lillian West Parrott

Lillian West Parrott, 96, died Friday morning.  She was born in Kinston and was the daughter of Dr. Clifton F. and Mrs. Susan Perry West.  Lillian graduated from St. Mary's School and Sweet Briar College.  She was a founding board member of Arendell Parrott Academy, which was named in memory of her son, and a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames.  She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Marion A. Parrott, her sons, Arendell and Clifton, and her son-in-law, François Brunet.  She is survived by her daughters, Susan, Jeannette, and Lilli; her grandchildren, Tempe (Charles), Arendell, William (Mara), and Lily; Charles (Madison) and Forrest; and Marion, David, and Marc; her great-grandsons, Bryce, Spencer, and West; and Wilder and Forrest; her brother, Dr. Clifton F. West, Jr.; and her goddaughter, Ashely Perry Rudolph (Burt).

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, November 15th at Queen Street Methodist Church in Kinston.  Visitation will follow the service in the sanctuary.
