Lillie Mae (Holland) Deaver

Lillie Deaver, 82, went to her heavenly home on December 9th, 2023. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Bobby Deaver, and son, Bobby Glenn Deaver. Lillie is survived by
her children, Tina Marie Bland and husband, William Bland, and Jerry Eugine Deaver
and wife, Shannon Deaver.

Ms. Lillie worked at the Kinston Shirt Factory and at Randa Neckwear for many years of
her life. Lillie was a member of Sandy Bottom Baptist Church, and she loved the Lord
with her whole heart and church family. Most people knew her as “Tinnie”, but we knew
her as Mema.

Ms. Lillie was a caring and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed seeing her family,
especially her six grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking
and baking for others and loved working in the yard tending to her plants.

In her past times she enjoyed going to listen to gospel groups sing. Ms. Lillie loved to go
shopping at JC Penny’s. Her biggest gift was her hospitality within her home. Once you
walked in, you were no longer strangers, but you were family.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Sandy Bottom Baptist Church with funeral service following at 11:30 a.m.
