Logen Cauley Obituary

Logen Rex Cauley, 26, of Dover, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2023 and has shocked anyone that knew him to the core.
Logen was born on September 27, 1996. After Logen graduated from South Lenoir High School, in 2014, where he was a member of the football and wrestling team. Logen received his AA Degree from Lenoir Community College and had several jobs before beginning his path to working in Kinston, NC, as an electrician for East Coast Power & Lighting.
He was a devoted father, son, nephew, grandson, cousin, a surrogate “Big Brother”, friend, and so much more.  He had been given several nicknames through his years from Grandma Cindy’s “Silly Little Pickle, Mom’s “Boo”, Chuckle Head 1, courtesy of his dad, to his time known as “Sweebs”.  He was a great young man that was strong, intelligent, witty, handsome with a heart of gold and loving soul that was a joy to be around.

He loved spending quality time with Keanu aka Lil K, and even was collecting Pokemon cards for when Keanu was older.  When he was not with Keanu, Logen was always up for a game of chess.  He was a very creative and artistic individual that would leave his works on anything he could get his hands on from a wall mural, canvas even wood surfaces. Logen had a way with words and when he put pen to paper that would move you to tears.  Logen enjoyed going to the movies with Grandma Cindy to making his mom wait to see Disney movies until he was available. He continued collecting $2 bills for Keanu that started in his own childhood when Poppa Bruce gave Logen his first $2 bill in 2003. Logen enjoyed quality time playing games with family members, along with activities that ranged from snowboarding in the mountains to time spent at the beach to hunting and fishing.  Anyone that knew Logen is also aware of how big of a fan he was of New England Patriots, Tom Brady and Michigan University.  He loved animals that extended to the runner known as “Max”.

Logen is survived by his son Keanu Cauley.  His parents, Ken and Kerri Cauley, of Dover, NC.  He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Cindy Brabon of Mattawan, Michigan, Grandmother, Peggy Cauley of Kinston, North Carolina and “Poppa” Buster Pike of Kinston, North Carolina. Aunt Kristin and Rob Bolhuis of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Uncle Chad and Cris of Goodyear, Arizona, Aunt Tonya and Bo Wingate of Columbus, Georgia along with his cousins Brandon Gentis, Nate and Teeva Bolhuis and Donavon Whitworth (Chuckle Head 3). Also, special brothers Antonio, John, Tripp, Dom, Garrett, Ricky and Marshal and his ECP&L work family.

He was preceded in death by granddad, Roy Cauley Jr., “Granny” Janice Pike, granddad, Gene Gentis.
