On Monday, January 1, 2024, Lois Hardison Moore went to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by family and loved ones. Lois was born in Kinston to Daisy Stroud and Harmon Hardison. Lois was a seamstress for many years during the booming textile industry in Kinston. Once the textile industry closed, Lois reinvented herself by gaining her high school diploma. She then landed a job at West Company, where she worked until she retired. She moved to Angier, NC in 2012, where she resided until the Lord called her home.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Tomlinson of Hugo, Rebecca Graves and spouse, John Graves, of Angier, and Elizbeth Bryant of Lynchburg, VA; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Earl E. Moore Jr., as well as four sisters and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Westview Cemetery.
