Louise (Metts) Blizzard

Louise Metts Blizzard, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her home in Trenton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Mabel Metts; first husband, W.F. Watson; second husband, Carl E. “Red” Blizzard; and son, Michael Lyn Blizzard.

Louise was a lifetime homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially traveling with them. She treasured her time as a grandparent. She had a soft spot for all of her furry friends, treating each one as if they were a family member. Louise was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Watson and wife, Lorie, and Edward Earl Blizzard and wife, Sharlene; grandchild, Brandon Watson and wife, Quila; step-grandchildren, Caleb Daniels and Hannah Hill; sister, Doris Smith and husband, C.W.; nephew, Robert Smith; nieces, Patricia “Pat” Bakhshian, Barbara Ann Wingate, and special caregiver, Rose King, along with many other close family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice Care for their excellent care, support, and guidance given to Louise and her family.

A visitation memorializing Louise will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Gospel Light Church, 153 Houston Road, Trenton, North Carolina.
