Lucille Gray (Leary) Basden

Lucille Gray Leary Basden, 91, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home in Sneads Ferry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Basden.

Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, and gardening. She retired from Winn-Dixie after 25 years of managing the bakery.

She is survived by her daughters, Deb (Sam) Moss of Sneads Ferry, NC and Donna (Lou) Menoni of Oxford, CT; son-in-law, Bill (Carlee) Gulledge of Fort Wayne, IN; granddaughters, Anne (Matt) Corsak of Southbury, CT and Mary Kate (Nick) Flaherty of Flowery Branch, GA; grandson, Nathan Moss of Wilmington, NC; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Henry Corsak and Baby Flaherty; best friend, Martha Lapas of Kinston, NC, and many other special family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
