Lula Belle “Lou” Eakes Brow, 84, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Brow, sister, Minnie Harris, niece, Mary “Kitten” Jones, and cousin, Peggy Tucker.
Lula was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Rivermont Holiness Church and worked at Abbott’s Restaurant for many years. She always had a warm smile and enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” Clifton Brow and wife, Emily, of La Grange; grandchildren,, Christy Green of Kinston, Sherrie Howard and husband, Jeremy, of Seven Springs, and Lina King of Kinston; great-grandchildren, Layla Jarman, McKenzie Jarman, Dawson Green, Dalton Green, Alston Heath and wife, Maddie, and Daniell Howard; special great-nephews, Tanner Harris, Dusty Harris, and Lee Harris; special friends, Janice Lassiter and Leah Lassiter-Peoples, and her daughter, Caroline. The family would like to thank Lula’s caretaker, Linda R. Jones, for her wonderful care.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Pastor Allen Ham will officiate.
