Marie (Quinn) Banks Rasnick

Marie Quinn Banks Rasnick joined her loved ones in heaven on December 11, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born in Comfort, NC on May 22, 1928 and lived in Richlands, Trenton, and Kinston, NC. Later, she moved to Huntsville, AL, Pensacola FL, and in 2012 she moved to Sunnybrook Retirement Center in Madison, MS. She earned an associate degree in business in 1980 and owned the Fashion Corner in Kinston for several years. She was a Charter Member of the Lenoir County Chapter of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.  She was known as a prayer warrior and witnessed through her many deeds of kindness as well as being a devoted Sunday School teacher for the youth. At Sunnybrook, she served as their Resident Ambassador and was known for her strong Christian faith. Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Annie Mills Quinn, and husbands, Malcolm Banks and Clyde Rasnick. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Jones (Wayne) of Madison, MS, Cathy Turner (late Don) of Carolina Beach, NC, stepdaughter, Kathy Shuler (Dick) of Mill Spring, NC, stepson, Rick Rasnick (Pat) of Surf City, NC. Grandsons, Chad Turner (Jennifer) of Wake Forest, NC, Brian Turner (Ali) of Raleigh, NC, Morgan Jones (Michelle) of Brandon, MS, Steven Jones (Kristy) of Fairview, TN, sister, Sadie Quinn Uecker of Madison, MS as well as seven step-grandchildren & fifteen great-grandchildren. 

Private graveside services will be held in Kinston at Pinelawn Memorial Park at a later date.
