Marilyn Lavonne Moore

Marilyn L. Moore, 77, of Kinston passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Moore and Lucy Ipock Moore Smith; stepfather, George J. Smith, Sr.; brothers, Lee Moore, Ronnie Moore, Earl Moore and Jim Moore; stepsisters, Mable Hill, Mary Holland, and Elsie Rouse, and stepbrothers, Willie Smith, Dee Smith, and Ray Smith.

Marilyn always had a smile for everyone and was loved by all.  She is survived by her stepbrothers, Ed Smith, George Smith, Jr. and Johnny Smith, and stepsisters, Thelma Barrow and Maezell Cauley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn enjoyed the many years she lived at Harmony Hall and loved the people who cared for her. The family would like to thank the staff for their wonderful care of Marilyn through the years.

A graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 am with Reverend David Cauley officiating.
