Mary Frances Langston

Mary Frances was born to Mary and David Buck on August 11th, 1933, and was raised on the family farm.

She was married to John Langston in 1951, and after several years in Kinston moved back to the farm in 1957, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Mary Frances was a strong-willed, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved nothing better than working in her flowers and garden, and with a green thumb she always had multiple beautiful flowers.

She was a faithful lifetime member of Lane’s Chapel Church. She was passionate about church, and taught Sunday School for multiple years. Her clear soprano voice was a constant presence in the choir.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Langston, and her daughter Jo Ann Langston.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Jones, son and daughter-in-law, David and Georgia Langston, three grandsons, Jonathan Stallings (Kim), Jeffery Stallings (Stephanie) and Stephen Langston (Jennifer), five great grandchildren, Alexis Stallings, Corbin Stallings, Mary Kate Stallings, Maggie Stallings, and Eva Langston.

The family would like to express their thanks to her caregivers and to those who sent cards and visited her during her disability.

Mary Frances had a strong faith and lived her life in anticipation of taking her place at the Lord’s table.

Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM At Lane's Chapel Methodist Church with Memorial Services to follow at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025.
