Melba Jean Ipock Jackson, 80, of Selma, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Ipock and Retha Owens Ipock, and her husband, Eugene Keith Jackson.
Melba was the owner and operator of Jackson Carpets for 35 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a member of Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed attending church, doing crossword puzzles, watching the Andy Griffith Show and Hawaii 5-0, and listening to Bluegrass music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Williams and husband, Ray, and Terri Ellsworth and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Gina Adams and husband, Patrick, Kyle McLeroy, Donna Emory and husband, Landon, Brittney Howard, Robbie Howard, Jacob Williams and wife, Kyndall, Amber Williams, and Tyler Williams; great-grandchildren, Emilie Adams, Addison Adams, Maddison Adams, Faith Howard, Hunter Deaver, Noah Brinson, and Peyton Emory; brother, Douglas Ipock and wife, Annette, and many other special family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Steve Singleton officiating.
