Brandon Gladson, 45, of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022, at Duke Raleigh after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Michael Brandon Gladson, September 14th, 1976, in Kinston, NC to Rebecca Ilene Wilkins and Johnnie Donald Gladson, Jr.
Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Melba Wilkins, his paternal grandfather, “D-Daddy” JD Gladson, and father, Johnnie Gladson, Jr. Also, his mother-in-law, Lynn Stutsman.
Brandon was a loving husband and father who would do anything for his wife and daughter. He loved playing with Kaitlyn, throwing her in the air, playing board games, tossing her around, going to the pool and going on vacations, especially if it was beach front. Brandon loved technology and was very talented with technological situations. Friends and family have always appreciated his giving spirit and indescribable wish to help everyone. Brandon was an avid lover of sports especially his UNC Tarheels and one of his favorite places to be was in front of the grill cooking amazing meals for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kari Lynn Gladson and daughter, Kaitlyn Nicole Gladson. His mother, Becky Wilkins and paternal grandmother, “Granny” Nancy Gladson. His brother, Johnnie Gladson III (Melinda), his sister, Lindsey Barnhardt (Zach), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Neuse Baptist Church in Kinston, N.C. with visitation to follow and other times at the home of Nancy Gladson, 3506 Bailey Street in Kinston.
The family would like to thank Duke Raleigh Hospital, staff, nurses and Dr. Dorr for their care and compassion for Brandon.
