Pamela Cobb Obituary

Pamela Grady Cobb, 62, of Grifton, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Pam was born in Kinston, NC on February 3, 1962, to Barbara Mitchell Grady and Eugene Grady. Her father preceded her in death.

Her last breath on earth broke the hearts of her family. They hold to the comfort of the Glory that was hers when she first opened her eyes in Heaven. They are her devoted husband of 35 years, Tim Cobb, of the home; her son, Jordan Cobb of Ayden; daughters, Bethany Kinsey (Quinten) of Ayden, and Rachel Cook (Tim) of Greenville. Her love was fierce and supportive of her family. Especially her grandchildren, Gavin Cobb, Kenleigh, Adelynn, and Vivianne Cook. She is also survived by her sister, Vicki Park (Jai) of Greenville. Her mother, Barbara Grady, also survives her, and lives in Kinston.

Death came swiftly but it cannot erase the life she carved. She was a graduate of Mount Calvary Christian Academy, and attended the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN. She completed medical assisting and nurses aid courses at Pitt Community College. She had a God given servants heart and was dedicated in the taking care of others. She had a great love for missions and served short stays in Vietnam and Haiti. Her utmost loyalty was to Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Grifton FWB Church and served in many roles in the Women Active for Christ. Her home was open to others in need. She immersed herself in the cultures of the foreign aid students that stayed in the Cobb home.

She hosted great parties and was an excellent cook. Pam was a sought-after cake decorator and opened a bakery to accommodate her growing business. Her interest in the Civil War led to her hobby of attending re-enactments. She was a passionate cat lover. She never turned one away.

Pam’s extended family of Mitchells, Gradys, and Cobbs, also mourn her passing. She was so much more valuable than she believed.

A celebration of life for Pam will be held Tuesday night, January 28th at the Grifton FWB Church at 674 Wall St. in Grifton, at 6 pm. Visitation will follow immediately after. Burial will be graveside on Wednesday, January 29, at 11 am at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Grifton. Flowers are welcome.

Arrangements are being made by Howard and Carter in Kinston.
