July 17, 1961 – March 6, 2025

Patricia Lynette Whitley Carter, 63, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2025. She was born in Beaufort County, NC to the late Erwin Whitley and Ellen Gail Peele Whitley. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Dakota Wells; and brother, Tony Whitley.

Patricia was a dedicated employee at Pactiv Evergreen. She was a good and loving wife and loyal friend.

No formal services will be held.

Left to honor Patricia’s memory are her husband, Gary Lee Carter; daughters, Erica Cullen and Samantha Raffray (Adam); brothers, Jesse Pelle Whitley and Alvin Wayne Whitley; as well as three grandchildren.

Patricia’s care is entrusted to Howard-Carter Funeral Home, Kinston.
