Patsy Carol (Paderick) Barwick

Patsy Carol Paderick Barwick, 72, of Kinston, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at home with her family by her side after a hard battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua “Babe” Dawson Paderick and Margie Grady Paderick Purvis, and stepfather, Doug Purvis.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harry Barwick; children, Johnnie Olejniczak and wife, Sheryl, of Pink Hill, Amy Smith and husband, Scotty, of Seven Springs, and Ray Barwick of Kinston; grandchildren, Jake Olejniczak and friend, Danielle, Bladen Smith, Aubrie Smith and friend, Bradley, Trey Olejniczak, Nicole Harrison and husband, Seth, and Hunter Smith; great-grandchildren, Remy Olejniczak, Kaylin Jarman, and Sadie Harrison; siblings, Donnie Paderick and wife, Gail, and Deborah Cox and husband, Tom, all of Kinston; stepsister, Tina Alvarez and husband, Johnny of Kinston; several nieces and nephews, and many other close family members and friends.

Patsy loved her family and would do anything for any of them. She was a huge part of their lives and leaves a void that can never be replaced. She loved the Lord; we know that she is in Heaven and that we will all see her again one day.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow beginning at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
