Ricky Dale Hamann

Ricky Dale Haman,64, was born in Kinston on October 26, 1957, and January 29th, 2022, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at UNC Rockingham Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Margaret Hamann.

He is survived by his wife Teri Hamann, daughter; Stephanie Phillips and husband Dale, son; Christopher Hamann, grandchildren; Jimmy, Stephen, Elizabeth, Brady, Lucas Hamann, Alexandria and Savannah Phillips brother; Randy Hamann and wife Debbie.

 His parents had a zeal to serve the Lord which they instilled in Ricky and his brother Randy. At the age of 19, He was led to serve his country in the Navy. He was married to his wife Teri on November 4th, 1978, and soon after was called to the ministry to preach the gospel.

Ricky was saved in July of 1980 and on April 25th, 1993, He was ordained and began his ministry serving God.  Wherever God placed him, and wherever he was needed he went. No location was too far or too small; his desire was to be a blessing and to serve.

Informal or formal no matter the occasion Brother Rick would always do his best to be there for everyone. Ricky loved people, to him they were not just people, they were souls, oftentimes lost souls. Always quick to leave a track or help someone in a time of need. He was a true Sheppard who when his sheep needed him, he was there for them. No matter time or place, he was there for you.

He was a loving husband who adored and Cherished Miss Teri and committed his life to storing up treasures for their mansion in heaven. Ricky loved His Family, and his Pride and Joy were his Two Children and his Grandchildren. Through the years he had the privilege to serve the Lord at Gospel Light Baptist Church as a Bus Captain and after he accomplished his 4 years in Bible College and later in Life, He Completed his Doctorate in Theology.

Ricky served 35 years Pastoring. At the time of his death, he was the Pastor at Northwest Baptist Church in Greensboro NC. He served there for 16 years seeing souls saved. His heartbeat was for Jesus and that everyone would know the Lord. He will be dearly missed by many.

Visitation will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
