Robert Adams Obituary

Robert Cleveland “Bud” Adams, 76, of Kinston, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Bud was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting deer, turkey, and bear. He also had a deep appreciation for bluegrass music and enjoyed spending time at bluegrass events. In addition to his love for music, Bud was a licensed auctioneer who enjoyed the excitement of a bid.

He will be remembered for his love of nature, music, and his unending story telling-but most of all, for the joy he brought to those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rayford Adams, Jr. and Zaddie Taylor Adams, Denice Ball Adams, his wife, who was the love of his life, three brothers, Kenneth, James, and Michael Adams, brothers-in-law, Lee Moore and Marvin Croom, and his best friend, his dog Bossy.

Bud is survived by his sisters, Shelby Dilday (Kendall) of Kinston and Amy Moore of Kinston, and brother, Rickey Adams (Angela) of Pink Hill. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home in Kinston, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Eddie Griffin officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trenton City Cemetery, in Trenton, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Liver Foundation, NC Chapter at PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ, 07052.
