Robert (Bob) M. Bell

Robert (Bob) M. Bell, age 87, of Kinston, NC passed away on July 18, 2021 at his home at Herritage Elite in Kinston. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC, son of the late Horace Wright Bell, Sr. and the late Janie Elizabeth Whaley Bell.
Bob is survived by his wife, Doris (Dot) Bell, of the home. He is also survived by his children, Kevin Bell and wife, Amy, of Kinston, Karla Wright and husband, Travis, of Grifton; son-in-law, Allen Powers of Georgia; grandchildren, Lana Warren and husband, Chris, Kent Carpenter, Brewer Carpenter, Devin Bell, Austin Adams and wife, Robin Adams, and Makayla Adams; and great-grandchildren, Madi Warren, Rhys Warren, Carys Warren, Reni Adams, Stetson Adams, and Maddox Thomas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Powers, a brother, Horace W. Bell, Jr. and two sisters, Betty Jean Bell and Miriam Bell Ange.

Bob and Dot spent much of their free time enjoying fishing, family gatherings, and the salt air of Emerald Isle. In 2005, they made Swansboro, NC their home and Emerald Isle Baptist Church their church family. In November 2020, they moved back to Kinston to be closer to their family.
A service to celebrate his life will be on July 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Emerald Isle Baptist Church with Pastor Freddie Braswell officiating.
