Robert (Bobby) Clinton Grady, Sr.

Robert (Bobby) C. Grady, 76, of Deep Run, left his worldly home for his heavenly home on June 19, 2023 at Rex Hospital after a short unexpected illness.

Born December 25, 1946 in Deep Run to Willard and Doris Grady, he graduated in 1966 from South Lenoir High School. He was a member of the Deep Run Ruritan Club, Lenoir County Hunters’ Association, and Tuscarora Hunting Club. He worked as a mechanic for years and retired from Tidewater Scale in sales and service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and fellowship with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Doris Grady, and special life partner, Kay Heath. Bobby is survived by his children, Loretta Chico (Frank) and Clint Grady (Trish); grandchildren, Tori O’Guin, Joshua Chico, Katlyn Vaccaro, Carrie Grady, Collin Grady, and Clayton Grady; great-grandchildren, Annakaia, Zachary, Connor, and Amelia O’Guin; siblings, Willard Grady (Judy), Sandra Stroud (Bobby), Becky Benson (Lynwood Earl) Terrie Jackson (David), and Rhonda Foy; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Gray Heath (Lynda), Jamie Heath (Mia), David Heath, and William Heath (Jennifer), and many other close family and friends. The family would like to thank Bobby’s many friends, especially Donnie Hill and the entire Hill family.

A memorial service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Richard Parker officiating.
