Roger Lay Paramore

Roger Lay Paramore, 83, of Kinston, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Paramore; parents, Joe Paramore and Mamie Spence Paramore; grandson, Roger Craig Barber; sister, Jean Gardner and brother, Joseph Howell Paramore.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He retired from E. I. DuPont deNemours Company with 33 years service.  He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church; enjoyed dancing, spending time with his family, doing handy work around the house and helping others. 

Roger is survived by his daughters, Shannon Barber and husband, Craig of Clayton and Monica Rouse of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Molly Barber, Bella Barber and Jeffrey Rouse II; siblings, Marie Gerrans of Kinston and Tammy Pressley and husband, David of Monroe; Charles David Paramore and wife, Carol of Akin, SC and sister-in-law, Lorraine Paramore of Myrtle Beach, SC. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Faith Fellowship Church. Funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
