Ronald Fredrick Andrews

Ronald Fredrick “Doodle” Andrews, 80, of New Bern, NC, passed away at his daughter’s home on Monday, April 4, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Louise Andrews; father, Obie Andrews, mother, Eula Byrd Howard and step-father, James C. “Fat” Howard, and brothers, Lynwood Andrews and Thurman “Rat” Andrews. 

Ronald retired from the North Carolina Forestry Service, after serving 31 years, where he enjoyed the great outdoors.  After retirement, Ronald enjoyed taking care of his yard, including mowing his lawn, planting azaleas and other bushes, including blueberries.  He was willing to help anyone in need.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.  He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Aultman and husband, Dennis; sons, Tony Andrews and Craig Andrews; grandson, Clay Layden and great-grandson, Jaxon Chole Hughes.

 Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2022 at Andrews Cemetery, 4318 Tram Rd.Deep Run, NC .
