Ruby Taylor, of Highway 41 West, Trenton, NC went home at 12:45 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, September 11, 2021, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a pastor and a dedicated healthcare worker for many years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a friend to all she knew. She loved her church family, House of Prayer, and her community church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Ned Taylor; son, Ned Taylor, Jr.; mother, Ida Hall, and two sisters, Mary Murray and Ida Mae Miller.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Kenneth Taylor, of the home, and Ricky, and wife, Kathy; daughter, Brenda Hawkins, and husband, Sam; adopted daughter, Iola Taylor; grandchildren, Phillip, Leanne and fiancé, Adam, Richard Lee and fiancé, Sarah, and Jeffery and wife, Mary; great-grandchildren, Zackary and Zoey; sisters, Sandra and Lou, and special friends, Iola and Kenneth.
The family would like to thank everyone who has kept us in their prayers, visited, made phone calls, or provided food.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with visitation to follow. graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Reverend Russell Tyndall officiating. Due to the current Covid pandemic, the family asks that all in attendance please wear face masks.
