Shearon Bell (Harper) Garcia

Shearon Bell Harper Garcia, 66, of Kinston passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Harper, Jr. and Peggy Waller Harper; daughter, Melissa Ann Jones; brother, David Michael Conner; and sister, Sheila Harper.

Shearon is survived by her husband, Calixto (Bobby) Garcia, of the home; son, James Michael Jones, and wife, Donna Lynn Jones; daughter, Robin Hope Vega, and husband, Santiago Vega; much loved grandchildren, Chris Gonzalez, Tori Bell Vega, Elexis Darden, Sammy Hernandez, Erica Hernandez Skinner, Shearon Cristina Vega, and Tomas Vega; six precious great-grandchildren, Raheim (Peanut) Skinner, Brooklyn Melissa Skinner, Reed Hernandez, Faith Leigh Howard, Jeremiah Skinner, and Scarlett Hernandez; brothers, Danny Conner, Oscar (Doc) Harper, Craig Harper, and Frank Tyndall; special long-time friend, Faye Thompson; special nephew, DJ (Doc) Harper; special niece, PJ (Peggy Jo) Salinas, and several other nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
