Shirley Joyce (Dixon) Rouse

Shirley Joyce Dixon Rouse, 64, of Kinston, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward Dixon, Jr. and Lottie Rouse Dixon; son, Cody Allen Rouse; sisters, Emma Wray and Barbara Tuggle, and brother, William Dixon.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She worked for Neil Medical and attended the Kinston Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Durward Allen Rouse, of the home; sisters, Mildred Stewart and Mary Wagner; special feline friend, “Trix”, and many other special family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
