Shirley Uzzell

Shirley Ann Shelor Uzzell, 71, of Dover passed away at home Wednesday, December 6, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Uzzell and parents, Jessie Phillips and Hazel Grady Phillips.

Shirley worked on the assembly line at Lenox China where she made many friends and acquaintances.  She was a member of Dover Methodist Church and was involved in many activities of the church.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Leslie Taylor and husband, Ron and April Manning and husband, Dee, all of Kinston; sister, Kathryn Lynn Whitley of Dover; her dogs, Precious and Sandy and grand dogs, Chunky Monkey and Minnie.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Clint White officiating with visitation to follow funeral service.  Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Westview Cemetery.
