Steven Lynn Phillips

In loving memory of Steven Lynn Phillips. Lynn, age 68, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2025, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He was born on May 15th, 1956, in Kinston, North Carolina to Ed and Margaret Phillips, where he lived most of his life. Lynn worked as a physical therapy consultant for RHA Health Services for over 40 years where he cared for people with both physical and mental disabilities. Over the decades he touched the lives of many and loved his patients as if they were children of his own. He was also a man of extreme faith who overcame all of life's hardships through his Faith in God as well as his love of family and his work. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him as a loving son, brother, husband, father, and man of God. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Becky Gale Holland Phillips, father, Edward Abbott Phillips, mother, Margaret Stroud Phillips, uncle, Burnie Lee Braxton, aunt, Elizabeth Grace Stroud Braxton, and special family friend, Leslie "Les" Joe Stanley. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Chandler Phillips, brother, Michael Edward Phillips (Glenda Daughtry Phillips) nephew, Jon Michael Phillips, (Gracie) niece, Rebecca Lynsie Griffis (Sergio) cousins, Sharon Braxton (John), Debbie Braxton Norville (Robbie), Stacey Stanley Wiggins (Mike), and his special aunt, Margaret Malpass Stroud. A graveside service will be held to celebrate Lynn's life at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Friday, March 21st, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements handled by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
