Susan "Susie" (Willoughby) Thompson

Susan “Susie” Thompson (Willoughby) passed away at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro, NC on May 28, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Dorothy Sykes and a nephew, Christopher Shane Harrell.

Susie is survived by her husband, Bryan Thompson, of the home; sons, Charlie Matthews and wife Sheryl of Kinston, Dusty Matthews and friend Krissy of Pink Hill; daughter, Emily Megan Crumpler and husband Jeffrey of La Grange; brother, Joe Harrell and wife Shelia of Faith, Debbie Murphy and husband Vance of Pink Hill; sister, Faith Whitley and husband Raven of Kinston; grandchildren, Kayla, Luke, Arden, Hallie, Victoria, and Ava; great grandchild, Wyatt; and several special nieces and nephews.

Susie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild, as well as with her family, going to the beach, fishing, and loved her friends and family at 902 Church. 

A funeral service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 6:00pm with Pastors Rick Vernon and Ryan Vernon officiating. Visitation will follow the funeral service. A private burial service will be conducted at a later date.
