Terry Bryan Koonce

Terry Bryan Koonce, 80, of Kinston, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital.  He was preceded by his parents, Terry Scott and Ella May Koonce; sister, Shirley Rouse and brothers Wallace Koonce and Bobby Koonce.

Terry served honorably in the US Navy and retired from EI DuPont de Nemours company.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking pigs, hosting cookouts and spending time with his family.  He was a die-hard Duke fan.

Terry is survived by sisters, Vivian Moore and Pinky Durham; special nieces, Carol Humphrey, Maryanne Harper and Debbie Cavenaugh and husband, Tom; nieces, Barbara Brown and Connie Futrell;  nephews, Marvin Jenkins, Bobby Koonce and Bryan Jenkins and wife, Sue; great niece, Brittany Barrier and husband, Kyle; great nephews, Bradley Miller and wife, Rhaine and Jeremy Cavenaugh and fiancé, Emilee; great-great nieces, Bella Miller and Abby Delarosa; great-great nephews, Bryson Miller and Jordan Barrier and special cousin, Mary Helen Wilson of Florida.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm at Howard-Carter Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Westview Cemetery following the service.
