Thomas Wayne Pennington

Thomas Wayne Pennington, 81, of Deep Run, NC passed away at Kitty Askins of Goldsboro, NC on March 17, 2026.  He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Hershel Pennington and Mamie Pennington.

Thomas served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a sales associate at Lowe’s and in his spare time he enjoyed reading westerns and science fiction.  He also enjoyed doing wood working.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Pennington of the home and sisters; Virginia Lee of Indiana and Shirley Myers of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston, NC with Pastor Gary Harris presiding.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
