Tony Franklin Hill

Tony Franklin Hill, 72, of LaGrange, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank “Buddy” Hill and Mae Carol Hill and brother, Ricky Hill.

Tony was a devoted husband, daddy,  pa pa and above all, he was a Christian who loved and served his Lord.   Not only was he a devoted family man, he loved his job as a nurse.  He worked at Lenoir Memorial, Howell’s Child Care and the North Carolina Veterans Home.  He loved his job and his patients and his patients loved him.  He enjoyed working in his yard, especially mowing his lawn.

Tony is survived by his wife, Dianne Williams Hill; sons, Tony Franklin Hill, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Cary North Carolina and Donnie Keith Hill of Seneca, South Carolina; stepsons, Ernest Ray Williams and wife, Nicole of Kinston and Phillip J. Batts; stepdaughter, Latonya C. Etheridge and husband, Rodney of Lexington, South Carolina, Nicole Southerland and husband, Wayne of Kinston, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Bradshaw of Kinston and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Vernon Braswell officiating.  Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
