Tony Charles Jones

Tony Charles Jones, 67, of Kinston passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at UNC Lenoir Health Care. He is now walking with God and is no longer hurting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Pike Jones.

Tony was a fighter and warrior all throughout his life on Earth and no matter how hard his battles were, he never gave up. He worked for The Roberts Company for many years but was happiest spending his free time with his family, who he loved deeply. Tony will be greatly missed as he was an inspiration to millions.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Houston Jones, of the home; daughters, Melissa Lucas and husband, Brian, of Kinston and Shannon Jones and husband, Jason, of Kinston; grandchildren, Logan Lucas, Addyson Lucas, Tanner Jones, and Tobie Jones; sister, Paulette Sutton and husband, Cecil, of Kinston, and brothers, Leo Jones and wife, Jane, of Kinston and Timmy Jones and wife, Kathy, of Kinston.

A service in memory of Tony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Jackson Heights OFWB Church with Pastor Justin Barnett officiating. Due to the current pandemic, the service will be held outside with social distancing and face masks required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson Heights OFWB Church, 285 Camellia Street, Kinston, NC 28504 to sponsor needy families during the Christmas season.
