Vivian Louise (Dawson) Howard

Vivian Louise Dawson Howard, 88, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at her home in Richlands. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Franklin Dawson and Carrie Boyette Dawson, husband, John Willard Howard, and son, Kenneth Earl Howard.

Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling and Jimmy Swaggart on television. She loved taking care of her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be truly missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Howard Quinn, of Richlands; sons, Willard Allen Howard and wife, Darlene, of Fort Barnwell, Thomas Franklin Howard of Seven Springs, and Clifton Ray Howard of Kinston; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Brenda Quinn, 108 Woodwater Drive, Richlands, North Carolina.
