Wilburn Thomas Jarman

Wilburn Thomas Jarman, 82, of Kinston, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

He was a life-long member of Tanglewood Church of God, where he was affectionately referred to as “Uncle” Tom.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Nixon Jarman and Estelle Lanier Jarman; sisters, Sally Blackmon and Eleanor Barwick; brothers, Winfield, John, and Nick Jarman; and son, Eric Jarman.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Catherine Whitford Jarman; daughter, Susann Wallace and husband Jonathan; daughter-in-law, Holly Minton Jarman; grandchildren, Hannah and Caroline Jarman; brothers, Pastor Wesley Jarman and Harry Jarman; and sisters, Evelyn Hannah, Faye Crumpton and Iris Gray.

Funeral service will be 3:00pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Tanglewood Church of God, with Pastor Allen Stocks officiating.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday January 10, 2022, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with visitation to follow.
