Willard Chesney Stallings, Jr.

Willard Chesney Stallings, Jr., 77, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Stallings Katzenberger; father, Willard Chesney Stallings, Sr., and brother, Dennis Wayne Stallings.

Willard worked at DuPont for many years and served in the United States Navy. He was also a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Stallings, of the home; son, Willard Stallings III and wife, Paige, of Black Jack, NC; grandchildren, Seth Katzenberger and wife, Abby, of Washington, Sarah Katzenberger of Kinston, Jordan Stallings of Kinston, Samantha Katzenberger of Florida, Shane Katzenberger of Kentucky, Nick Stallings and wife, Crystal, of Swansboro, NC, Bryant Cassidy stationed in Japan, and Jonah Stallings of Black Jack, NC; great-grandchildren, Brayden Taylor, Jensen Stallings, and Nevan Stallings; mother, Valera Carter Stallings, of Kinston; brother, Albert Ray Stallings and wife, Laura, of Kinston, and many other close family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, with funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Pastor Chris Truett and Pastor Johnny Pike will officiate.
