William A. Jenkins “Tinker”, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
William was employed as an officer at Topsail Beach Police Department for 18 years, where he retired as a Lieutenant.
William was always willing to help family and friends anytime he was called on. He loved fishing, and had a passion for music.
He was proceeded in death by his father William R. Jenkins, and a brother James Timothy Jenkins.
He left behind to cherish his memory his mother Mildred Jenkins, his sister Katina Chapman, three nieces, who he adored, Katelyn, Marissa (Kevonte), and Sammia. He also so left behind a “bonus mom” Ms. Carol, four cousins who were more like brothers and sisters: Leslie ”Gabby”, Jeannie, Billie Jo, and Richard “Butch”. One very special friend Kathleen Freel, and many other family members and friends. William was a son, brother, uncle, and a friend to so many people. His kindness, joking spirit, and genuine love for his family will forever be remembered.
A memorial service will be held at Agape Family Worship Center in Trenton NC on Monday September 6th at 3:00 pm. Pastor Danny French will officiate.
