Woodrow "Nelson" Foyles Obituary

Woodrow Nelson Foyles, 72, of Kinston, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jeffery Allen “Koon” Foyles.

Nelson was born July 11, 1950 to Merle and Jim Foyles in Greene County. He was a hard worker who loved and enjoyed his family, friends, and his favorite hobby: raising chickens.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Hill Foyles; three daughters, Cathy Marie Foyles, Melissa Dawn Foyles, and Elizabeth Foyles Caulder; five grandchildren; three brothers, James Ronald “Buck” Foyles, Howard Bert Foyles, and Nicky Ray Foyles; one sister, Teresa Lynn Stroud, and many other close family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
