Zulene Browder Wooten

Zulene Browder Wooten, 95, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at her home in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. She was born in Greene County, NC to Richard Moses Browder and Rena Carter Browder. She was predeceased by her husband, Dan Parrott Wooten; her parents; brothers, Ruben Browder and Eugene Browder.

Zulene was an office manager at E.I. DuPont de Nemours in Kinston NC for more than thirty years.  After retirement she made her home at Atlantic Beach, NC.

She loved her children and grandchildren and was involved in their lives and no matter what they were involved in, she was always there.

Zulene is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Ann Wooten and Sally Elizabeth Wooten Oliver and husband, Tracy; grandchildren, Tonya Yvette Oliver Montanye and husband, Michael Lynn; grandchildren, Carter Avery Montanye, Chase Montanye and Conor Montanye and wife Alyssa; sisters, Emma (Lady) Brogden, Luvoise B. Hill and Carol B. Aycock and special pets, Molly, and Bodie.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Westview Cemetery at 1:00 pm. with Ken Terry officiating.
